When Mark Ronson decided to record the ultimate summer jam, he certainly called in a great supporting cast. His new single, ‘Bang Bang Bang,’ was co-written with the Kaiser Chiefs’ Nick Hodgson and features the talents of rapper Q-Tip and electro artists MNDR. The synth-heavy tune is the first single from Ronson’s forthcoming album, ‘Record Collection,’ and now the guitarist/producer has a video to match it (more…)

Les sanglots longs
Des violons
De l’automne
Blessent mon coeur
D’une langueur
Monotone.
Tout suffocant
Et blême, quand
Sonne l’heure,
Je me souviens
Des jours anciens
Et je pleure,
Et je m’en vais
Au vent mauvais
Qui m’emporte
Deçà, delà
Pareil à la
Feuille morte.

Shortly before the D-Day landings of June 6, 1944, Radio Londres broadcast the first stanza of Paul Verlaine’s poem “Chanson d’automne” to let the resistance know that Operation Overlord would begin within 24 hours. I guess the weather was pretty much the same than today…

"Can we stay in bed
